Together/Apart

Together/Apart is a set of books exploring the honesty - and lack of honesty - in relationships. 

Gathering quotes from anonymous surveys has resulted in the range of answers given having one thing in common - the individual contemplating both their past and present relationships and being more honest with themselves as a result.

The majority of people discussed emotions that they perhaps could not share with their significant other.  This was interesting because your partner is who you are supposed to be yourself around the most.

Together uses text from people talking about their current relationship and Apart reflects on failed relationships.

An Unspoken Offering

An Unspoken Offering is a series of prints inspired by the language used in Mills and Boon novels.  These works explore silkscreen techniques to produce a range of distorted imagery.

The acts depicted in these prints are difficult to understand on first glance.  This is to mimic the elusive language used in these novels which - when out of context - make little sense.  When studied more closely, the visceral imagery used contrasts with the romantic language used.

Each print in this series is unique and has been produced using a range of different translucent inks and gloss along with additional mark making.
